Akpors and the prisoners

Akpors just graduated from Bible College and was invited to speak at a chapel service in a prison yard.
He was very excited but being his very first time, he was very nervous as well.
He thought hard on how to introduce his message.
On that day, he arrived at the prison and was greeted by a large group of dangerous looking prisoners waiting to hear his sermon.
As Akpors walked and stood behind the pulpit in the prison, he was so taken away by the large crowd; introducing himself,  he said; Good morning Gentlemen. I am so happy to see you all here!!!
The beating they gave Akpors that day was so tragic to the extent that Akpors went back home with bandage all over his body.
One word for Akpors this time around?

Akpors the stingy businessman

Akpors, a very rich and very stingy businessman, was coming from the bank carrying a huge sum of money he just withdrew when three armed robbers stopped him and tried to rob him.
The shortest one amongst them shouted at him, “Your money or your life?!”
Akpors was silent for a while like he did not hear anything and he seemed to be deep in thought. The robber repeated, “Are you deaf?! Your money or your life?!”
Akpors once again did not reply; surprised, the boss of the gang said ‘e be like this guy dey try us oh, abi make we just give am one bullet?’ My friend, we asked your money or your life!!!!
Akpors replied, “Oga, wait na, give me some time, I’m still thinking of which one to choose.”

If the three wise men were women:

- They would have asked for directions instead of following the star.
- They would have presented gifts such as pampers, powder, feeding bottle, napkins, Akamu, cerelac and so on.
- After leaving one would have told d other ”did you see Mary’s shoes, they don’t match her dress”.
- One would have also said ”I heard Joseph is not working,he’s just an ordinary capinter. How can they
survive?”
- Another would have said ”imagine the kind of dirty enviroment she deliverd, are they not perceiving de bad odour from de goats?”
- Another would have also said ‘the baby doesn’t even resemble Joseph, was she really a virgin?”.
- One would have replied” Story for the gods, Virgin indeed, I knew Mary during SECONDARY SCHOOL days.
- Another would have been eyeing
Joseph.
- One go dey form queen Elizabeth saying “how can I enter dis dirty place”?

Akpors the stupid applicant

Akpors was trying to get a job in a very respectable company.
He applied, got an invite for their aptitude test and after using all his great skills of copying his neighbour’s answers in the test hall, he passed and was invited for an interview.
The interview was supposed to be the easiest part of the recruitment process as the employers assumed that anyone smart enough to pass the test deserved the job. However, the following conversation ensued when it go to Akpors’ turn:
Interviewer: Where were you born?
Akpors: Lagos
Interviewer: Which part?
Akpors: What do you mean which part? The whole body was born in Lagos.

Taye Taiwo dreams Super Eagles recall

The Bursaspor star has revealed that he will willingly accept invitation from national team selectors to play for the country following his impressive performance in Turkey

Bursaspor defender Taye Taiwo has said that he would be glad to get a recall to play for the Super Eagles.
The 29-year-old has 53 caps for the country but has been shut out of the national team since coach Stephen Keshi took over as coach.
Since then, Elderson Echiejile and recently Juwon Oshaniwa have held sway in the left back position of the national team.
Taiwo who has never hidden his passion to play for the Eagles feels his playing regularly in the Turkish top flight is a testimony that he is still active and won’t mind getting an invite to represent Nigeria.
"I’m still very much in active football. At my club I play regularly and my manager keeps wondering why I’ve been shut out of the Nigeria national team,” Taiwo told Goal.
"I am a Nigerian and if given the opportunity to do so, I will definitely do that with open arms. Why not? I will surely come.
"This is my country and I will never turn down any invitation because that has always been my priority."
Known for his prowess at free kicks due to his powerful left foot, the defender feels Nigeria is missing a lot of attributes.
"Most times, when we lose set pieces during international games, I feel very bad because I would have scored if I was there,”  he said.
The 2006 Caf Young Player of the Year also dismissed claims that he had issues with Keshi which could have been responsible for his national team blackout.
"At Dynamo Kiev, I called to congratulate him on his appointment and expressed my willingness to be a part of his team, he assured me all would be well but till date, he never deemed it fit to send me an invite to the national team,” he continued.
"He would not pick my calls and I kept wondering what was wrong. Anyway, I still respect him and I can tell you that I don’t have any issues with him, his assistants and those at the Nigeria Football Federation."
On the inability of the reigning African champions to make it to Equatorial Guinea 2015, the former Olympique Marseille defender said it was a tragedy for the country despite tipping them to successfully defend their crown following their exploits at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
"It is a big disaster that the Super Eagles failed to make the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
"After our performance at the World Cup, I had boasted to my African teammates that Nigeria would successfully defend the title but unfortunately, we missed out. It’s a big shame," he concluded.

'Barca have suffered a great injustice' - Bartomeu hits out at CAS decision

The club president has heavily criticised Europe’s highest sporting judiciary for rejecting their appeal against a two-window transfer ban

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has hit out at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), claiming it "has committed a great injustice" for enforcing a two-window transfer ban on the club.

The Catalan giants were handed the initial ban by Fifa after being found guilty of signing underage players from outside of Spain and appealed to CAS, but their argument was rejected as Europe’s highest sporting judiciary felt they had no grounds to overturn the punishment.
Bartomeu heavily criticised the decision in a statement on Barca's website, insisting it is "beyond logic".

"A great injustice has been committed today: an injustice for Barca, for all the children and parents affected by this decision, for all the Club members and for football in general," Bartomeu wrote.
"We have always made it clear that we consider the Fifa sanction to be exaggerated.
"This judgement by the CAS, which supports Fifa's decision, is not good for us and is outside of any sporting logic.
"Fifa and its president have to be an organisation which protects the footballing world and decisions like this distance it from this objective. We do not feel supported or protected by those people who should be doing this.
"The strict letter of the law has been followed, rather than the spirit in which it was written and a precedent which is not good for the game in general has been created - one which has attempted to stain the good name of our club.
"I wish to announce that Barca, with myself in the lead, will fight to change this regulation and improve it.
"I hope Fifa will show sufficient common sense to re-write this regulation and that no other club will have to suffer this injustice.
"Despite everything, I can guarantee our members that this sanction does not endanger the sporting project at La Masia."

Bartomeu does not believe the punishment will harm Barca's on-field prospects either.
He added: "I remain optimistic.
"On the one hand, we have a squad which offers sufficient guarantees to cover any possible needs of the first steam and on the other, we have to bear in mind that the signings we made last summer to strengthen the squad were made with the possibility of this sanction in mind and to allow us to attempt to win all the possible titles we are competing for until this sanction is over."

Milan

A Cristiano Ronaldo goal and a late Karim Benzema penalty were made irrelevant by a Jeremy Menez opener, a double from Stephan El Shaarawy and a goal from Giampaolo Pazzini

Stephan El Shaarawy scored twice as AC Milan defeated Real Madrid 4-2 in Tuesday's mid-season friendly in Dubai.

The Italy international netted once in each half as the Serie A giants overcame their La Liga counterparts in an entertaining encounter.
Both sides named strong starting XIs for the clash, with Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti coming up against his former employers.
Jeremy Menez opened the scoring for Milan, taking advantage of an error from Real defender Nacho to coolly convert.
El Shaarawy produced a fine finish to add to that lead, before Ballon d'Or frontrunner Cristiano Ronaldo claimed his almost obligatory goal to pull one back for Ancelotti's men.
The Liga leaders created several chances in the second half, but Milan looked equally dangerous and further goals from El Shaaraway and Giampaolo Pazzini made for a convincing victory, despite Karim Benzema's late penalty.
Real came into the game on the back of a 23-match winning streak in competitive matches, and Ancelotti will expect an improved showing when they return to Liga action at Valencia on Sunday.
After a low-key opening to proceedings, Milan capitalised on Nacho's mistake to take the lead midway through the first half.
The defender's ball back to goalkeeper Keylor Navas was woefully short and Menez took control, left Navas on his backside with a feint and tucked the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.
That advantage was doubled shortly after the hour-mark when El Shaarawy received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, cut inside on his right foot and drove a low finish into the same corner of the goal.
Milan's double strike appeared to spark Real into life, and they halved the deficit 10 minutes before half-time through Ronaldo.
Jese Rodriguez drove forward from midfield and released the Portuguese, who took advantage of poor positioning from former Real keeper Diego Lopez to slot home at the near post.
Real made a raft of changes at the break and one of those, keeper Iker Casillas, was called into action almost immediately as he kept out El Shaarawy's effort with his legs.
El Shaarawy was not to be denied for long, however, as he swept home from close range after being teed up by substitute Andrea Poli's pass.
Once again Real's response was positive, and almost resulted in a goal when Jese's deflected shot struck the base of the post and rebounded to safety.
With 17 minutes to go, Pazzini headed in M'Baye Niang's pinpoint cross, before the latter's foul on Nacho allowed Benzema to convert from the spot in the 84th minute.
It was too little, too late for the European champions, however, as Filippo Inzaghi's men held on for the victory.
