Presidential candidate promises stable electricity if elected

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari has said that his administration would work towards providing stable electricity in Nigeria if he is elected into office.
Buhari stated this on Wednesday, January 7, during a rally at the Government Secondary School in Calabar, Cross River State.
“Our
industries are dying and will continue to die unless we get the issue
of power supply correct. We will resuscitate our industries,” Buhari said.
“If
you go down memory lane, during the period of regional governments, the
leaders then used to allocate 43 per cent of the budget on education
and that is why their names will never be forgotten. We will try to
secure our country; we will ensure industries are resuscitated,” he added.
The former Head of State also spoke on other priorities of his administration if elected.
“The
situation in Nigeria is of great concern to us. We are going to attack
two fundamental programmes. These are security and economy. We are
determined to make sure that the economy is expanded so that the
tendency to steal is discouraged. Agriculture will be given priority and
this will give immediate relief to the huge unemployed Nigerians,” he said.
Buhari
also urged Nigerians to ensure that they obtain their Permanent Voter
Cards (PVC) and vote for the APC in the upcoming elections.
